Questions

Frequently asked

How do I know if my business is actually profitable?

Your bank balance does not necessarily tell you how profitable your business is. Proper bookkeeping helps you see your income, expenses and actual business results through financial reports.

Do I really need to keep every receipt?

Receipts and other supporting documents are important for documenting business expenses. Keeping them organized makes bookkeeping and tax preparation much easier.

What happens if my books haven't been updated for several months?

You don't necessarily need to start over. We can review what is missing, reconcile the accounts and bring the books up to date before continuing with regular monthly bookkeeping.

Can you work with the books my previous bookkeeper left behind?

Yes. We can review the existing records, identify outstanding issues and continue from the current bookkeeping setup.

I use my personal credit card for some business purchases. Can those expenses still be recorded?

Yes. Business expenses paid personally can often be recorded correctly in your bookkeeping. The important part is identifying the business purpose and keeping the supporting receipt or documentation.
